A senior at Princeton Senior High School, Leah is a standout leader involved in cheerleading, golf, Student Council, and the National Technical Honor Society. Her commitment to community shines through her work with 4-H and her church, and she currently serves as the 2026 Distinguished Young Woman of West Virginia. Leah will attend WVU to study Health and Well-Being, with a goal of becoming an Occupational Therapist to positively impact the lives of others.
Claire is a faith-driven leader who actively serves her school, church, and community through mission work and music. Known for her integrity and compassionate spirit, she is dedicated to uplifting those around her and providing support to those facing emotional battles. Claire will be attending Liberty University to pursue a degree in psychology, continuing her commitment to spreading kindness and helping others.
Emori is a dedicated student-athlete who balances softball, volleyball, and a part-time job with grace and perseverance. Beyond athletics, she has been instrumental in establishing the Sunshine Closet at Montcalm High School and actively volunteers at Amy’s House of Hope. Driven by kindness and a desire to honor Rylee’s legacy, Emori plans to pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine, starting at Bluefield University.

Erika is a Bluefield High School student, top of her class, a member of the Drama Club, National honor Society, Student Body Vice President. Her teachers describe her as a hard working, determined and a very driven young lady. Congratulations Erika!

Madison McVey is an exceptional student and active member of various clubs at Princeton Senior High School, including the Marching Tigers, Key club, and Art club. Known for her outstanding academic achievements, she surpasses a 4.0 average in AP and college classes. Madison is highly regarded by her teachers for her aptitude, maturity, character, determination, and above all, kindness. Her passion for art extends beyond her schoolwork, as she generously volunteers her artistic skills for various school programs, leaving a positive impact on our community.
Montcalm High School
Brieanna Skeens, the deserving first-year recipient of this scholarship, holds an impressive academic record as the President of the National Honor Society and a top-ranking student in her class. Demonstrating exceptional writing skills from as early as the 8th grade, she showcases a college-level proficiency. Alongside her involvement in the Key Club, Brieanna is recognized by her teachers as a natural leader. Additionally, her genuine love for animals and plants shines not only through her application, but also in her willingness to assist her neighbors and classmates, reflecting her caring and helpful nature.
